Aishat Bashir, a Computer Science graduate and system engineer transitioning to Cybersecurity, resides in Abuja, Nigeria. Her passion lies in collaborating with women who are dedicated to building their careers and achieving work-life balance.

Aishat’s interest in the field of technology sparked in 2002, just before she began her university studies. Discovering Tech4Dev on Instagram, she became determined to apply for the Women Techsters Bootcamp training cohort 2.7 due to her enduring love for all things tech.

Her proudest moment from the training came as a member of a project team that successfully delivered a server refresh for her organization. This accomplishment marked a significant milestone in her journey.

Throughout the Bootcamp training, Aishat faced various challenges, including a lack of clarity and direction. However, by openly reaching out to others and seeking support from those more experienced than her, she managed to overcome these obstacles. Tech4Dev provided her with the necessary clarity and a supportive community of like-minded individuals.

Aishat expresses her utmost gratitude to her facilitator, Mercy, and the members of her team, who consistently provided assistance to anyone facing difficulties. Their valuable guidance and simplified explanations of complex concepts made a lasting impact.

Looking ahead, Aishat is committed to practicing and implementing the knowledge gained during the training. Moreover, she plans to continue enrolling in additional training programs to further enhance her skills and stay abreast of the latest developments in the Cybersecurity field.

Aishat applied for the Women Techsters Fellowship class of 2024, and we are so proud of her for securing her space in the program. We are excited about this new step of her career development, and we look forward to the impact she will definitely make in the months ahead.
